So sorry that I was only able to do one day of the Talgarth Festival Market because I over did things and ended up with my legs swelling (still recovering from the knee injury and getting my strength back.. ) However, the experience did help to reinforce my ideas about how what I can do at the markets.. This week I am hoping to receive some breadfruit to roast for the Thursday market in Hay (Sept 1st), and the monthly Sunday market in Talgarth. If I can get the ingredients, I’ll be making Brazilian black bean stew or Jamaican stew peas (made with red kidney beans), both will have hot peppers but I’ll bring ground cayenne for those who like it hotter to add to their serving. And, if the ingredients are available, I’ll be making guacamole at the Talgarth’s Sunday Market, Sept 4th.
